On the subject of Governance: Abuja Nigeria December 2015

Nigeria political leaders need to think less of their own
ambitions for re-election and focus more on selfless task of leadership for the country in the next 10 - 25 years.
Nigeria well documented development plan ought to be long-term seeking and focused and not just providing immediate gratification for the citizenry. Nigeria society is multifaceted. The elite/educated/urban/rest. Not everyone can have a house in Asokoro but at least, we can ensure that no one sleeps under any bridge in Abuja or Lagos.
Inner city planning can be carried out successfully when programs to meet each echelon of society is created and provided. I am a firm believer in the need-based bottom up approach and not just the top down universal policy approach in as much as both have their own benefits.
Nigerians need to be aware of their resources and be able to hold their leaders accountable. Accountability is not a luxury but a right of every Nigerian owed by public office holders. Political office holders ought to be accountable to the population and be able to give accounts of their stewardship as required by law.
Accountability should no longer be a luxury. Government agencies and ministries should be audited to the letter and publicly held accountable on their activities especially funding and expense activities. With the right environment and access to the right information, responsible leadership and citizenry Nigerians naturally take the lead to world dominance in every sphere of activity.
